Money Management 101
Learning to manage your money is a skill crucial to a successful future. This informational workshop covers budgeting, savings strategies, choosing a financial institution, smart shopping tips, and identity theft. This workshop will provide you with practical tools and strategies to better handle your finances.

Debt 101: Credit Card and Loan Basics
Do you know how the debt you incur in college will affect your lifestyle? Learn important information about choosing credit cards, understanding credit reports and credit scores and tips on the best way to use credit cards. Also, learn information on loan types, loan terms and how to choose the best loan for you.

Managing Your Paycheck
Congratulations! You’ve secured your first on-campus job and are going to have a steady stream of income, but what are you going to do with that money? Managing Your Paycheck will cover savings, budgeting, and debt management all on a student budget.

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL

Create your Money Plan
This interactive workshop will provide students with the tools necessary to create an individualized plan for their finances. Students will complete activities that will help to set goals for their financial futures and identify the measures necessary to achieve those goals. Part of reaching their goals will be to create a comprehensive savings plan as well as a manageable spending plan.

Managing your Debt Load
This hands – on workshop will allow students to examine their current and future levels of debt. Students will leave the workshop with a comprehensive plan to pay down any credit debt they currently have and an understanding of how to pay back any future student loan debt that they will have upon graduation.

Studying Abroad Without Breaking the Bank
Sure, studying abroad is a great opportunity but is it too expensive? Attend this workshop to learn the true costs of studying abroad. This workshop will cover some basics about the costs of overseas study as well as strategies to save for your trip, how to manage your money while abroad, and how to find scholarships to help finance your experience.

Post–Graduation Money Matters
This workshop will focus on financial concerns facing graduating students. Topics will include repayment of school loans and how to create a realistic budget for a full time entry level salary and employee benefits.

Turning to Teaching
Teaching can be an incredibly fulfilling career but navigating the steps toward certification can be a daunting process. This workshop will assist both those who have just begun to contemplate teaching as a career path as well as those who have already committed to the profession. In this session, attendees will complete self-assessments, identify resources, explore obstacles and solutions, and create a financial plan to keep them on track.
